It has been a while. Actually quite some time. Well after the changes that we have been experiencing for the past couple of years, things became quite slow. Trips not working out, weather conditions, non reaping activities etc.
We have been struggling to set up the least of our trips to be a success. Being busy with all the earthbound distractions, we tended to keep up our regular one on one or group meetings to discuss whatever we had and our goals for the next period.
We made a couple of trips to explore new spots within the Red Sea. Not that far south however; such target spots where barely fished. Exploring is good, at the end of the day it definitely adds to our experience. Knowing more about all related conditions like wind, waves, currents & the general underwater ambiance.
We have also made a couple of wreck free dives and to tell you the truth, it was quite an experience. See..... the problem is when you get used to spearfishing you tend to be more selective with your target fish. You tend to go more to the extreme, diving deeper in search for your trophy. Taking your stamina to the red zone is not so much fun but it gives you an indication of where you stand exactly in your performance.
Some good fish where speared over the last period, nice GT's, Groupers and even deep based Red Groupers. All that doesn't compare to the good old days.
Have fun & I'll keep you posted... These where the good old days and will be continued.
